We are seeking an Associate Catalog Designer for Appleseed's, to be located at our office in Middleton, Massachusetts. Appleseed's has been serving women in the prime of their lives for over 60 years, offering high-quality apparel and modern updates to classic styles for women.
What you'll do:
Responsible for assisting Art Directors in catalog page production. Strong production skills, must be able to work on large volumes of pages in order to meet tight deadlines. Good eye for layout and designing to templates and concepts. Work closely with art directors to ensure page accuracy during various stages of catalog design.
Essential Position Responsibilities:
Pulling pages tight/basic design with direction from creative
Assist with layout stage of pages that have pickup images in combo with new photography
Populate pages with new photography (fashion and laydowns) working hand-in-hand with art directors
Support art directors during design phases to ensure files are clean and accurate, images are linked properly and notes are correct. Updating images and design from previous catalogs
Design Liquidation pages
Redesign pages when needed
Mechanical/final review edits that involve images/layout/creative
Creating pdf's for approval when requested at various stages of design process
Creative cover versions from approved creative
What you'll need:
Mac OSX, Adobe CS6
Preferred Skills and Experience:
2+ years print production experience
Catalog or publishing experience, Adobe CS6, FileMaker Pro or database experience
Job Grade: B2

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
